The Section will perform the following activities: -
- Develop, review and monitor implementation of railway infrastructure safety standards
- Develop, review and monitor compliance of railway infrastructure safety regulations;
- Monitor implementation of railway infrastructure safety management systems;
- Provide advice on appropriate safety features for train control system;
- Investigate accidents and incidents related to railway infrastructure and environment;
- Certify worthiness of railway infrastructures; and
- Issue, renew and cancel permits on usage of infrastructure for railway operations.
